  1. The immediate double of a weak 1NT is for penalties.
  2. No response is expected from fourth seat, except
  3. with a miserable hand, the player has the option of
  4. bidding a 5 card or better suit to save partner
  5. from a disasterous penalty double.

  7. When First D doubles a strong 1 NT, the player is
  8. supporting both hearts and spades.  Second D is
  9. obligated to bid his/her longer major suit.  With 4
  10. card support and RPC of 10 or more, bid 4.  With 3
  11. or 4 card support and RPC of 7 or more, make a
  12. simple raise.  With less, bid the longer suit at the
  13. 2 level.
